The chairs everyone dreams of: "Bonn" and "Bonn-2"

"Бонн", "Бонн-2"

   The Ywood company produces about 20 varieties of chairs, but two models persistently remain the sales leader - Bonn and Bonn-2. They are bought by people of different ages and social status. Purchased for establishments - cafes, restaurants, bistros. They fly to different parts of Ukraine. But why exactly they? We wanted to understand this phenomenon and this is what we got.

Let's take a closer look

"Bonn" and "Bonn-2" are actually twin chairs, differing only in the shape of the back. In the first, it is hollow in the lower part, and in the second, it is completely deaf. The rest of the characteristics are identical:

Бонн 2                                   Бонн

  1. Style at the junction of neoclassicism and Scandinavian minimalism. An elegant silhouette without unnecessary details.
  2. A sturdy wooden base that can support significant weight. The frame is made of hard wood: oak, beech, ash.
  3. Back and seat material - plywood, which allows to reduce its weight and cost.
  4. The moderately soft seat and backrest are surprisingly comfortable. Chairs are as comfortable as chairs - you can easily spend several hours in them without feeling tired.
  5. The special design of the legs makes the "Bonn" and "Bonn-2" almost the most stable among all models and can even withstand the jumps of children.
  6. The back is low and semicircular, so the chair goes well with any table shape (round, square, rectangular) and does not steal free space.

   Already at this stage it becomes clear that these chairs cover most of the buyers' requirements for such furniture - they look modern, lightweight, practical and comfortable for long sitting. This is why they are bought home. But establishments? They have slightly different selection criteria.

The best solution for establishments

Of course, the listed parameters are also important for buyers whose goal is to choose chairs for their establishment. But convenience alone is not enough for them, because in restaurants and cafes they make the guest not only comfortable, but also beautiful in every sense, achieving the stylistic unity of all design elements without exception. And chairs "Bonn" and "Bonn-2" are the ideal tool for such tasks, because the possibility of their customization is maximized. During the order, the client can independently adjust a number of options:

  • backrest option - hollow or solid;
  • type and color of material;
  • covering for the frame - a choice of stains, varnishes, oil-wax, wood enamels in a wide range of colors.

He actually becomes a co-author and can make chairs 100% consistent with the concept of the institution.

Let's illustrate the importance of customization with an example

   Imagine that the establishment is going to use antique or restored tables that were purchased separately from the chairs. If you don't find the right chairs, the concept falls apart. Using antique chairs in a restaurant is not the best idea. They are already quite fragile, and clients come in different sizes. Yes, and over the ergonomics of furniture several centuries ago, they did not really think about it, and sitting on a chair with a perfectly straight back is still a pleasure.

   The solution is to look for modern chairs, but with the possibility of maximum customization. If the frames of modern chairs are painted in the same color as the legs of such antique tables, you get that stylistic axis that will allow you to combine objects from completely different stories. You can also play with the upholstery material in different ways. If you make the upholstery contrasting, you will be able to divert attention from pieces of furniture of different style, and correctly place accents.

   And all this allows you to make the chairs "Bonn" and "Bonn-2" without any compromises in terms of reliability, strength or convenience. And, like any wooden furniture, they are a long-term investment - such items can be restored many times, returning their appearance to the ideal or changing them to suit a new restaurant concept.
